Sessions content will vary but will include aspects of our training scheme from a physical conditioning, basic and advanced moves, match structure, ring psychology and character development (including microphone skills).
All classes from the start promote training in a fun and safe environment but we also focus on professional behaviour and conducting yourself properly in the world of professional wrestling.
All trainees must also acknowledge that although all measures are taken to reduce the risk of injury as much as possible at every level that Professional Wrestling as with any contact sport / martial art carries risks and injury can occur. All trainees accept this fact and thus within reason The Northampton School of Professional Wrestling are not and cannot be held responsible should they occur.
Special Seminars*** Where possible The WIN Wrestling holds special seminars for trainees with some of the top wrestling talent from around the UK and indeed throughout the world. These will be run in the hope that they will give all talent at the school new and improved skill levels.
Cost The fee to train at the WIN Wrestling is £10 a week**** this is for Sunday sessions and is tremendous value for money this is taken on a monthly up front basis .
Extra smaller or one to one sessions are available but are subject to trainer agreement and the meeting of any extra costs by the trainee and must be arranged a week in advance.
* Although the Wrestling Institute of Northampton endeavours to put on training sessions twice a week at the times specified, there are extremely rare exceptions where this is not possible for various reasons i.e. A trainer is unavailable to take the session due to them all being active in ring performers themselves. Or the Rough N Ready gym has a specialist event/ grading for one of it's many other disciplines. If this is the case the school endeavours to let all students know as soon as possible.
** Although there is an age limit of 16 or over on rare occasions at trainers digression they may allow someone of a younger age to train. Trainers also reserve the right to refuse to train anyone they feel that could pose a risk to themselves or others on health or safety grounds.
*** Special Seminars may occur on a different day/time to normal sessions and may incur an extra cost
**** Although fee for training is currently £10 a week the school reserves the the right to change this but will inform trainees before this occurs.
